New MUST USE Plugin for managing WordPress Projects! (bye bye Trello!)

Youtube video

If you have ever presented a newly built WordPress website to a client or team, you know exactly how messy gathering feedback and change requests can get. For well over 18 years in the web design industry, and for the past 10+ years, I have relied on Kanban boards to manage statuses and track tasks (Trello for the most part). While there are plenty of task management plugins available, this brilliant new discovery from the WordPress featured plugins tab has completely blown my socks off.

In today’s tutorial, we are diving deep into the Alpaca Issue Tracker plugin. It is a lightweight, staggeringly intuitive issue tracker built entirely inside WordPress. It gives you a beautiful, bulletproof UI without any of the heavy bloat you will never use. Oh, and it’s free!

The real gold? Your clients can log their issues directly on the front end of the website, removing all ambiguity from their change requests. It is that simple, and it is going on every single one of my new client sites without question.

Stick around until the end, as I also share some exclusive bonus tips and custom code snippets to create an absolutely seamless, distraction-free experience for first-time WordPress users sending you feedback.

In this video, we cover:

  • Why the Alpaca Issue Tracker is the ultimate replacement for external Kanban boards.
  • My battle-tested status columns to control client feedback.
  • How to enable front-end issue logging so clients can pinpoint exactly what needs changing.
  • Bonus code snippets to clean up the WordPress dashboard for a pure feedback experience.

Drop a comment below: What system are you currently using to manage change requests and issue tracking on your live websites?

Ciao!
