AI is everywhere, it’s all over WordPress in a massive way — and yeah, I use AI a lot. But as I’ve said before on this channel many times, I don’t use it for vibe coding. I don’t use it for one-click site builds; that kind of stuff is just nonsense. I don’t use it to build plugins that already exist and are well maintained — what’s the point in that?
My use of AI is purely as an assistant to save me time. It’s based on my actual workflows — the stuff I’d be doing manually that can be partially automated. And the number one rule is: any process or coding I use AI for has to conform to 100% best-in-class WordPress coding standards, as well as replicating entirely what you would normally do with the Full Site Editor when manually building patterns, pages, or whole sites.

So today, I’m pulling back the curtain on some of the processes I use AI for — processes I’d normally do manually that take a fair bit of time. In fact, I’ll show you the simple workflow I’d use to build a one-page site for a client, step by step, and how to speed things up with AI while keeping full creative control. This is not vibe coding!
We’re using the outstanding NovaMira MCP with vanilla WordPress only, and just my Starter Block Theme V4. We’ll take the website brief we created and use it to build a style guide at a basic level with a prompt. Then, taking the finished style guide along with the brief, page copy, and images we’ve gathered, we’ll use another prompt with the NovaMira MCP to create the one-page site — but it will be “proper” WordPress code: global styles added directly and correctly to the theme itself via theme.json, with all the appropriate settings, just like you’d do manually with FSE and the Block Editor. It gives you a huge head start turning a design vision into proper WordPress code.
