There’s not too many WordPress plugins that I can say I’ve been using for 10 years. They can defo be counted on one hand.
Many of my older go-to / must-have plugs have, over the years, been superseded by other, better plugins, or their functionality has been available in the ever evolving frameworks, or that specific need has been scratched by being included in core WP (rare, that last one!).
There’s one plugin that, in my very humble opinion, has never been “superseded”, has never had its type of functionality included in any framework / page builder etc. and has, of course, never got close to being included in core.
If you follow this channel, you’ll be well aware of my passion for speedy websites – years ago my need was down to me using, quite frankly, bloated frameworks and page builders – getting 75+ on Google Pagespeed Insights Mobile was a dream come true but now my toys will most definitely be thrown out of my wp-shaped pram if I’m not getting 90/95 which is why for the past 11 years I’ve been using the same cache/performance plugin for WordPress and that is WP Rocket.
Just installing WP Rocket and updating a few settings, can easily get your speed into the 90’s
This is why after 10 years WP Rocket is still my No.1 plugin for onsite cache – and I’ll be honest, I’ve never really explored any others because WPR has always delivered for me, every time, year after year, for 10 years.
