I was until a few years ago all in on Elementor – every site I built was Elementor, I was technically a “fan boy” – it was simply the best Page Builder out there (IMHO), it was free as well! – and then there was Ele Pro, well, it was genius – literally an end-to-end site and theme building tool for designers, site creators and non-coders – and it took the WP world by storm.
There is ZERO doubt the rise in popularity of WordPress in the past 8+ years was significantly down to Elementor – look at these stats, the stats tell the story https://w3techs.com/technologies/details/cm-elementor !

Roughly 25% of ALL WP sites are Elementor – insane!
When WordPress itself finally released a useable version of their own “Page Builder” – Gutenberg, that then transformed into FSE and full theming with blocks, I found that for simple sites it was a very viable option so my journey took that path – though I still have dozens of clients on Elementor and still recommend it as a very good place to start if you’re a DIYer and can’t deal or want to deal with the still many shortcomings of native Full Site Editing.
A few months ago Elementor released a beta of the new “AI Site Planner” – if you’ve ever used Relume, or stuff like that this is Elementor’s version – and I’ve just taken it for a spin – it allows you to build out site maps and full wireframes with AI, that you can then fine tune with Fonts, colour pallets, sections, headers footers etc – and then (and this is the kicker) you can export it as a full Elementor Site Kit and have that wireframe, pages, headers, styles, menus all import into a blank site in moments.
There’s no doubt this style of web creation is very much the future – is Elementors version of it any good?
