Hide the WordPress Login Page

In this Tutorial I’m I’m going to show you how to hide the WordPress admin login page.

One of the primary ways a website is hacked is by robot hacking machines guessing your admin password by what is known as a “brute force attack” – where the robot tries tens of thousands of times to enter random user names and passwords not he admin login page but there’s an easy win when it comes to WordPress Security – which is simply hiding the the admin login page.

The Plugin we’re using for is WPS Hide Login – a coupe of minutes and a few clicks and one of the major opportunities for hacking of your site is removed from the equation – it’s a no-brainer.

Admin Columns WordPress Plugin – Custom Columns for Post Lists

One of the very first things my clients used to ask me when I presented them with a brand new WordPress site was “Can I have an image of he post on the list in the Admin”.

Well, WordPress doesn’t come with this as default but we can addd Custom Columns to the WordPress Admin with, of course, a plugin!

There’s a few options on the WordPress Plugin Directory but some don’t do too much and others require the paid for “Pro” version to get some decent features but there’s one that I use that is fully featured and completely rocks!

In this WordPress Tutorial I’ll show you how to add Custom WordPress Admin Columns with the “Post Lists View Custom” plugin.

Post Lists View Custom is on the WordPress Repo here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-lists-view-custom/

The Best WordPress Admin Search Plugin Ever!

Right then, quite simply this is plugin is one of the best things you can do for yourself in the WordPress Admin, and is easily my best WordPress Admin Plugin without a doubt (not including backup and security plugins!).

It’s called Jarvis, and I first discovered it on a post by Sarah Gooding on the the WP Tavern (https://wptavern.com/jarvis-a-free-quicksearch-tool-for-the-wordpress-dashboard). It’s basically a real time Google search for the WordPress Admin – hit your forward slash button, type in a few characters and you’ll get a list of relative “things” in your site you can navigate straight to immediately – love it!

In this WordPress tutorial I’ll show you how to search the WordPress Admin like a boss!

The Plugin cam be found on the WordPress Plugin Directory here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jarvis/

But there’s a few WordPress Plugins that I can recommend that save me a ton of time and in this Tutorial/Demo I’ll show you how.
